I’m considering selling or trading my 2014 Jeep Patriot 2.0 L. It has 149,xxx on the odometer. Runs and drives great, has been my daily since 2017 when i purchased used from a dealer. Absolutely reliable, this would make a fantastic first vehicle or something cheap on gas and insurance to get back and forth to work from. I’ve changed the oil on time every 3k miles since 55k when i bought it. Changed the spark plugs for preventative maintenance twice. I just installed brand new front rotors and brake pads on it. Fresh oil change now. There are no issues with the motor or transmission, no body rust or severe damage I just cancelled insurance on this vehicle and forgot to have safelite do the yearly free windshield in FL. It will be sitting for the mean time, not gaining miles. I’ll start it and move it to keep from issues. I will be very upfront with the issues on this vehicle. It has a crack in the windshield, i just canceled insurance on it last month and totally forgot to have it replaced for free. It has some fading paint, the bad spots are the hood and the roof. Maaco quoted me under 200 for hood and roof for the cheap paint. It needs at least 2 ABS Brake sensors. $12 each. The ABS system lights are on, and will not turn off because the sensors are dead from being the original sensors. (I’ve had this scanned) I meant to do it while i replaced the brakes and forgot, it’s incredibly easy to access and replace yourself. The MAIN issue with this vehicle is the AC Compressor. It blows air, but not cold. I’ve had it diagnosed, and you can clearly tell. I HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED AN ENTIRE AC COMPRESSOR KIT WITH COMPRESSOR, DRYER, OIL, ORINGS etc Specifically for this vehicle and it will come with it. I was quoted $250 by 2 different mobile mechanics to have the new kit installed, and re charged. It has some minor dings and scratches, the paint isn’t perfect, the interior is in pretty great shape. Has a plastic trim cover peice on side of drivers seat held on by a zip tie, only cosmetic. Radio & speakers work. I believe all power windows and locks work, i will double check. Comes with full size spare mounted to the roof rack on top. I installed front tow hooks for recovery(never used) and also installed a CURT Tow hitch package on it(NEVER USED). It does NOT have the CVT transmission in it, it has the 2.0 auto stick. Extremely reliable, not fast or powerful by any means. I have slightly oversized all terrain tires installed on the factory plasti dipped wheels. The rear 2 tires are fine on tread, front 2 will need replaced sooner than the rear. No check engine light, never had any real failures or problems with this vehicle besides the AC Compressor slowly dying. 12 gallon gas tank and you can go all over town and the gauge won’t move. 4 cylinder 2.0 liter. I drove 100 miles a day to work&back for over a year and most of these miles are from a 50 mile commute to work on i95, and 50 miles home. Never really been off roading besides some bumpy dirt roads and sandy roads getting to WMA parking lots. Great vehicle, Haven’t listed anywhere else. I haven’t even cleaned it yet, if it sits longer than I’m hoping I will replace the ABS sensors myself and have the AC compressor installed and price will raise higher than if you were to do it yourself. I also have 2 rough country pod lights mounted to the front with custom made brackets for the Patriot. Wired with a fuse, and switch inside the cab. Can all be removed with no permanent damage. Comes with jack and tire iron. Lots of storage room in the cargo hatch where the donut spare used to be. For a newer vehicle everyone’s always impressed how easy it is to work on, coils and plugs right on top which is why I’ve been on top of maintenance! I have another Jeep renegade and a F150, and just find myself using this one less and less due to the AC, so i cancelled insurance and am trying to decide what to do with it.
I’d be open to trades for firearms, so I’m listing it here first to test the waters. If you have a few Rifles, shotguns, pistols etc laying around and want to throw together and offer, I’m more than happy to listen. Doesn’t have to be 20 guns, can be any guns of relative value. A quality AR with optic is definitely on the list of wants. Firearms + cash is also an option. I’m not looking to sell it outright for cash on FLGUNTRADER, I’m looking for trades. But if you have a cash offer, i guess go ahead. Value listed is rough Trade value in current condition. Will negotiate, depending.
Im not hiding anything, if you wanna come check it out and bring a mechanic you’re more than welcome. Bring a scanner and see no codes have been cleared or anything. Text me first please, if you’d like to talk on the phone that’s totally fine, but i don’t always answer phone calls from unknown numbers. I’m sure I’ve forgotten some details. I can take as many photos as you want. Feel free to ask questions and make offers.
