Guys check out this vid for ways to spot a counterfeit EOtech or search how to spot a fake surefire. Not gonna name names but there's LOTS of them listed right now. The trick is to take your legit optic/light's box and stick an Aliexpress in there and then re-sell similar to how they'll sell fake watches with force-matched paperwork from a legit one.

We in the gun community should be better than all this scamming and price-gouging. I work in a pawn shop and about twice a week we gotta break it to a customer their piece of equipment is counterfeit. It really sucks.
