If you are ever run across or are contacted by a Mitchel Obrien ([email protected]) he is a scammer and attempting to be a thief.

Was contacted and wanted to buy one of my listings (a Knife) and said he was from Raleigh NC and he would send the payment and after receipt I could ship. I indicated dealing out of state (not FTF), I would need a Postal MO. Instead he send a 'Certified Check' drawn on a MD branch of an IL bank (M&T). Yet when the check was delivered it was sent from CA.

The check looked perfect but with all the clues and the fact that he overpaid me, you had to know something was wrong. Not being born yesterday, I started checking and that's when I found out an IL company postal account was used (hacked/stolen) to send the check from CA. Anyway, I checked the home bank and branch it was drawn on and they were both real locations and even the bank routing number was correct. So I had my bank check it out and found the check was fraudulent.

SO BEWARE - Scammers are everywhere!
