The left side of the barrel is marked, “WINCHESTER MODEL 94 30-30 WIN. / MADE IN NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL.” The right side of the barrel is engraved and gold filled with, “LONE STAR COMMEMORATIVE”.

The left side of the receiver is engraved around the perimeter with stars, with a large star between “1845-1970.” The right side of the receiver is engraved around the perimeter with stars. The bottom of the receiver is stamped with the serial number. The top tang is stamped, “UNDER SIX FLAGS”.
