The Taurus PT92 is almost identical to Beretta 92 in terms of design and appearance, and it’s known as Beretta 92 clone. This is a full-sized, hammer-fired, double-action/single-action, semi-automatic pistol that has an alloy frame with a stainless-steel slide. It comes with two 17-round double-stacked magazines. Like the Beretta, the Taurus PT92 has an “exposed barrel” slide. The Taurus PT92 shoots 9x19mm caliber, and it is also available in .40 S&W caliber. This variant is known as PT100. The PT92 is a big gun with very soft recoil, very good accuracy, and great reliability. The heavy frame of the pistol handles the recoil very well, making it faster to aim at the target again. There are 3-dot configuration sights with the integral front sight and dovetail rear sight. In terms of safety, there is a manual safety/de-cocker with the breech-locking mechanism. Overall, the Taurus PT92 is a well-made, comfortable firearm, especially suitable for beginners.
