Remington Model 37 RangeMaster 22lr rifle.
This is an early model 37 (serial# is 00720) that has C.C. Johnson barrel and the original barrel.
Barrel 1.125" dia. and about 28" long. Canjar trigger.
Includes a Freeland shoulder hook butt plate, offhand assembly, sling hook.
The rifle is in excellent condition and a rare find. C.C. Johnson was a well respected gunsmith that worked out of Thackery, Ohio- Dayton area, from 30s to 50s re-barreling mostly single shot and target firearms. He used Diller or Buhmiller blanks. The information from the Job card shows the work was done in 1948.
