The Tavor X95 is IWI’s next generation bullpup rifle and features several upgrades over the original Tavor SAR model. These include whole new fire control pack with a nice 5 – 6 lb. trigger pull, repositioning of the ambidextrous magazine release, a modern forearm with picatinny rails, relocation of the charging handle, a lower profile bolt release button, and a modular Tavor style pistol grip which can be swapped out for a standard pistol grip with the traditional trigger guard. The new location of the magazine release is similar to that of an AR15 rifle. The picatinny rails on the fore end are located at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions and have removable rail covers included in the box. The charging handle was moved for the purpose of locating it closer to the user’s center mass. This example is the XG18 model, which has the longer 18.5-inch barrel. Despite this, total overall length is still a very respectable 28-1/8 inches. The furniture has an OD Green finish. This exact model is no longer shown on the IWI , only the matte black (XB18) and FDE (XFD18) models. The stock is made of reinforced polymer for durability. The barrel is made from the popular Chrome-Moly-Vanadium, providing strength and a long operating life. Barrel twist is 1:7 inches – suitable for handling the heaviest 5.56 bullets. With its gas-piston, the X95 can last longer between cleanings than the typical direct impingement rifle. This new-in-box rifle comes with one 30-round PMAG. Optional kits are available from IWI to convert the X95 to shoot the popular and inexpensive 9mm Parabellum or the hard hitting .300 Blackout. Contact information is 213-708-0788
